This is exactly what I was looking for - and even more. Very exciting for this clothes hound, because I can already tell this is going to be one of those go-to, finishing touch wardrobe pieces, viable for all four seasons.First things first: this is not a long sweater; the material is more of a medium-weight, stretch cotton jersey blend. It is incredibly soft to the touch, medium-to-lighter weight, non-see-through, and expensive-looking. It keeps its loose form, without danger of looking sloppy or stretched-out. The sleeves are not tight, yet they are fitted enough to look gently tailored. What I wanted (and received): a multi-tasking, multi-effect cover that could add a bit of drama, impact and style to all sorts of outfits. It is casual and extremely comfortable; it is elegant, and expensive-looking; it adds a graceful and statuesque line and silhouette, without looking fussy. The flow of the fabric is very pretty and drapey, with no schlumpiness in sight. It's going to be perfect for travel - especially because of its versatility and weight. The way I went: I'm tall, and gambled on ordering the largest size available - mostly because I wanted extra volume and flow, and the drama of the swinging material when I moved; I didn't think the extra would look oversized, and it doesn't. This also offered the chance to belt it as a more formal overlayer if I wanted a closer or drawn-in fit, and this works beautifully, too.Love the cut, love the swing, love the material, love the fit, love the line, love the feel, love the versatility, love the lengthening, love the casual elegance that could go almost anywhere, to almost any function, at any time of year. This one piece - on its own, or as a layer - achieves what many other far more expensive coats, capes, wraps and dresses only wish they had gotten right. What a find.
